The Scene-The Funkateers

The Scene Reunion presents this set of video clips that were randomly chosen to play during Black History Month 2021. For fans of The Funkateers dance group who would love to see how the fellas are doing these days, make sure you watch until the end. We were able to capture them for a short performance during the summer of 2018 at the Inkster High School Reunion.

On February 1, 2021, the site where The Scene originated, WGPR-TV on East Jefferson in Detroit Michigan was listed on The National Register of National Historical sites. It was decided to honor the milestone by just showing some clips that give a general idea of the show to someone who is not familiar The Scene. The Scene started in October of 1975 and ended on December 31, 1987.
